Once you go chrome you don't go back...oh wait, that didn't rhyme ;)
I'm actually swapping things back now. My polished IC has been sold and I am installing a black one, although it has a sheet metal scoop, so that has some bling. I want to sell my chrome VCs and swap to sheet metal ones. Removed my headers and having a set of ATRs coated "almost chrome." Well, I guess I'm not turning back after all, lol

SE has a lot of stuff, but some of their prices seemed kind of high high.
I agree you can spend a small fortune on his Chrome page:eek:

I want to get my pipes back and get it back together, then I will figure out what I am doing. I sent the exhaust housing, the front mount intercooler pipes and the down-pipe to have them polished:D

yep.

I have the PTE super stock location intercooler.

I need to get my aluminum up-pipe (intercooler to TB) polished.

I don't know of any places around here that do that. What do you think they will charge?

From blue to black.

sorry it is so dirty...

Your right, it does make the ac compressor look ugly. They are sharp though. I wonder if anyone had done a back to back comparo at the track for times? I would think it would be some difference with that much off the engine.

Good post, I wonder myself. Seems like lots of weight reduction with these.

Jason's told me he is working on something for the AC unit:confused: I guess we are lucky our Maff Pipes hide the bulk of the unit.

I bought the Race crank pulley, I must say it weighs nothing:eek:

That would be for a front mount then?

No you can run any of Jason's pulleys with a stock location, except for the crank.

So then you just skip the stock plastic fan for the intercooler? What do you use a small electric one to pull air through the intercooler?

Pronto I got you, I misunderstood you, i thought you meant P/S and the others. On the crank Jason's sells 3 crank pulleys, 1 race, 1 under-drive, and one stock replacement. You would need to run the stock replacement on the crank with a stock cooler.

So what is involved in replacing the crankshaft pulley? It looks like it would give the most benefit, and it is the ugliest too.

Nothing really. With a stock mount, I would recommend pulling it out just so you can have lots more room. While it is out give it a cleaning. Take the 1/2 inch bolts off surrounding the center bolt, take a small pry-bar and gently just work side to side. Comes right off:cool:

That woudl be cool to see. I wonder if it is something that just bolts over the existing piece.

Definately looks like a$$...
