alright heres the deal.... i have an 84 t type and it has been leaking oil since i got it (early june) this was caused from blow-by. oil was coming back out of the breather and through the dipstick tube. it was also smoking really bad. i just changed the pcv valve like i was instructed to do by many and it doesnt smoke at all. i was aondering if this may also be the treatment for the leak. thanks in advance for the help

It's possible that your old pcv valve was stuck shut which would cause the crankcase pressure to build up and blow oil out your breathers and dipstick tube and possibly valve cover gskts, rear main seal, etc...

Hopefully that is all it was and you got off cheap!!! Good Luck!!! :D

i already replaced the driver side valve cover gaskets (thats the side it leaks from) and it seemed to help
