is it just me, or does it seem that our cars get no credit?

it seems that all these TV shows that are out there never seem to pay any sort of respects to our cars. it seems like everytime i see some car show on speedvision or what not it is on the GTO, the Chevelle, the Impala, Thunderbird or the shoebox chevy's...... or something along those lines.. never any shows on about turbo buicks/GN's/GNX's. i know American Muscle Car has a show on our cars, but it seems that they never show it...

there was just a show on TV about Firebirds/Trans Am's, and i got kinda excited that they might show the TTA. nooooope didnt even touch it.. all they said is, 'by mid-80's auto manfucatures could squeeze more power out of fuel injecton'. thats it. nothing else. they said something about a '74 Trans Am w/ SD 455 in it being the fastest trans am... but i thought the TTA was the fasters?

then a couple weeks ago on another channel, there was a show on the history of buick. they touched the turbo buick motor for a sentence. they said something like 'buick bought back the rights to the V6 that they sold to Chrysler and could create V8 horsepower from a V6" then they went and talked about the FWD Le Sabre for like 5 minutes.

then one time i saw a show on muscle cars, they went through every time period, from the late 50's tot the late 90's. in the 80's they talked about the GTA, the 5.0 Mustang's and the SHO Mustangs, but nooo buicks.. so am i wrong here or are our cars over looked?

They preach to the largest audience.
If they were running an all TR show, their ratings would plummet. Like it or not, we are a minority (and I like it that way!)

I don't we're looking for a whole show, although it would be nice. In all of the shows mentioned, a TR or TTA is definately worth a mention. They would have fit right in the the scheme of what the show was about.

on CARandDRIVER tv, they have an episode where they went back to their archives to look up muscle cars like they do on all the shows and one day they showed the GNX. I don't remember when it was but it was pretty sweet. maybe if you go to caranddrivertv.com er sumthin, maybe you can look it up and order it er sumthin.

GTO may have been detroits first cut at a muscle car, but they are lead sleds and my neighbor found that out. I laugh everytime the shows try to hipe the GTO as a fast car. Whe they run 10's in the 1/4, that's a fast street car.

How can you give credit to a car when all you see are it's tail lights ;)
