Is it normal for moisture to come out of the tailpipe as in water when in idle?

Mine does. It always has since I bought it in '88.

I hope soo too as I obseved this on my car this afternoon while working on it. Just rebuilt the motor 2 months ago.

Perfectly normal. Its actually a sign of a clean burning engine. The exhaust gases (esp with a converter) have both hydrogen and o2 in them... you can figure out the rest.
