My freind was arguing that the people at Ford printed the specs for the Boss mustang concept wrong. It says its a 10 L 429 boss engine. He says its impossible I think it is possible, but is it?

it probably is. in one of the new car and driver mags theres a mustang with 351 v10. so i dont see why not. then again, im not an expert:) :D

EDIT: now that i think about it, im not too sure that it is possible, that would be a big motor, so i dont know.

If they mean 10 liter it would not be a 429ci motor.. It would be around 660 ci..

Yeah i went to car and driver and it says it has 429 heads but a racing block that makes it around 600 or something. They needed to be more specific.

The 10L Boss mustang has a 10 Litre engine. Yes its possible.

Monster trucks use 640 - 660 cube Ford motors and the IHRA used them in their Pro stock Division.

10L Boss Mustang

The car makes over 850 HP.

a bunch of years ago, Jerry Kaase (sp?) started with a ford 429 and ended up with an 800 cube mountain motor! ( yowsa!)

(--If I remember correctly, it was designed for the unlimited AHRA Pro-stock cars?)

Yes. The IHRA now runs 816 Cubic in motors in their Pro Stock Division (NHRA has a 500 Cube limit)

that's 816 cubes in a chevy cavilier.
