Is it the accumulator

My brake light comes on every time I apply the brakes. I thought it was the accumulator at first but after doing some reading most say that the brake pedal should feel hard, but my pedal is not hard it is mushy. Please give me some input. Thanks

Last time I bled my brakes(after wheel cyl replace and brake job). My accum went out ...and, yep spongy crap brakes almost to the floor with light coming on every pump. Replaced it and fixed it...but, beware the suckers are very pricey now.
