is it true that 160 Degree Thermostat from www.jaysgn.com you wont find in any auto parts store true?
i find that hard to swallow

i got my 160* thermostat from a local speed shop for about $15. it was made my Hypertech.

You can get the proper thermostat from an aftermarket auto parts store but it takes tricks like asking for a tstat for an 89 trans am. If you ask for a buick 3.8 tstat, you WILL almost certainly get the one designed for an NA tstat which has an oversized flange. It can be trimmed down though, if you're really ambitious. I got stuck w/ a wrong tstat a while back. Never really trust autozone much after that. advance has still been pretty good for me.
