If he did not want anybody parked next to him then he should not have parked in a "PARKING LOT". Anywhere you want to park in a lot is fair game (except handicap of course) as long as you do it in one space. The prick move is someone thinking their car is so special that it needs two spaces. If they are that afraid then they need to leave their cars in the garage. Yes, I am careful about where I park but I'm not afraid to park between cars and I know if I drive it I take a chance but for me driving it is the fun of it.

I repectfully disagree. If I park in an empty lot at the corner so no one else will park next to me and then I come out and some ******* is parked right next to me..........that's not cool and your are just being a dick if you park next to someone like that.

I wouldn't be bothered if it was nice car and parked correctly. It cuts my chance of getting stolen or hit in half....

You are a F'n Dick Head if you park next to a nice car that is parked away from all the other cars....END OF STORY!!!!!:o

If the lot has the space I show the other driver the respect and leave a space. He/she does not know if your a cool caring car guy or not just by what your drive.

Just because you have a really nice car does not make you respectful.

Case and point:

Back in 2001 had the 72 Stage 1 at a show and my wife shows up with our kids and food in her flawless, showroom 1990 Lincoln Town car which she parks with the others who are participating or working the show. Some guy pulls in next to her and sets his McDonalds bag of food and drink on the trunk of our Lincoln to lock his tow vehicle. He then proceeds to his restored and mint 70 Hemi Cuda to sit down and eat his lunch. I walk over to where he is take his soda out of the cupholder on his chair and ask him if I can place it on his Cuda's trunk. He goes ape and says "what the ???? is wrong with you"? I point to my wife's pristine Lincoln and ask him "why is it okay for you but not me"? He says his Cuda is valuable and our Lincoln is just a driver get over it".

I had no intention of setting the drink on his Cuda until that moment but still could not bring myself to do it so I just dropped it and let it splash the rear fender of his car. He is beside himself but I had been powerlifting for 15 years, am 6'2" and weigh 240 so he is not sure if he wants to escalate the incident and I walk away.

My old boss used to tell about his brother parking way out in the parking lot with his truck to avoid door dings. His truck was just a daily driver but was always kept up very well.

Anyway he parked out away from the other cars and some guy pulls up next to him in a beat up pick up, the guy whips open the door into his brother's pickup and says "don't you just hate it when someone does that" then smiles and heads into the store. His brother goes into the store pissed at this guy and gets whatever he needed and comes out and sees the pickup is still there. So his brother looks around and sees no one around and grabs a ratchet out of his toolbox and busts out all the headlights, tail lights, and other lights on this guy's truck. He then gets into his truck and drives off feeling like he was getting his revenge. But he did spent the next month wondering if the cops where going to pay him a visit.

Obviously this was before parking lot cameras too.
