Won't get into the whole story, This was with another GN. First you see what I have on my car. Look in sig., also stock I/C and bone stock long block. We started from a roll I saw his rear wheels. The whole time I was at his door. never passed him. I had 20 psi. We pulled over and He told me about his car. Are you ready? Stage 2 w/M&A heads, T04E turbo, FMIC, DFI, 42.5 Inj., 3.90 gear, and other thigs. He said he had the boost at 18psi. This guy tunes DFI car on the side, (I saw his buisness card.)
NOW should I have blown him away or should he have blown me away????? The thing I don't like is that he had less boost, and a smaller Turbo. I'm going to loose sleep over this. He said I should of got him with the turbo I have. Or did I do good vs. a Stage 2 motor with Ported heads???? Please let me know if My car is slow! :confused: :mad: :confused:
 
He also had the norm, 3 " DP, Cam, and a labtop in the car. So how did I do???
 
I would say you didn't do squat....take it to the track and find out.....
 
009's on a Stage 2...that sounds like a joke to me. You know, it's not about who's got the bigger turbo, larger intercooler etc.. Most of the time it's all about the combination, and looking at his list of mods he does'nt have it at all. Good job on the kill. ;)

There's no way of knowing whether either of you is "fast" or "slow". You have no time, no benchmark. You need to go to a track and find out what your car will really do.

As for running a stage II motor, well. The motor alone don't do squat for the car's performance, it's advantage is it's strength.

Now, slap a pair of good heads on, and it's a different story. A properly set up pair of free breathing heads can run like gang busters. They can easilly make up the difference in the turbo's. Between the front mount, heads, and "smartly" tuned DFI that could allow him to stick with you.

Although, ya gotta wonder about someone who would be running that turbo and injectors on such an expensive motor and head combo :confused:
 
This happend in the suburbs of Chicago. It was a really beat up 87 GN. The Guy own's a company called Advanced Fuel Systems. He does Custom Fuel Injection tuning and programing. This is what his buisness card sais.
