is my gn still there?

i've made a couple unsuccessful attempts to get a hold of stew,armymp and turbojohn, who had been assisting me while i am in Iraq. i was just wondering if my GN is still parked on Ft. shafter where i left it, stew had been periodically checking on it for me. if anyone has any ifno for me, that would me much appreciated, i am beginning to get a little worried as the registration expired the end of june, i just don't want the car to get towed away while i am gone. thanks guys.

Last I heard, (last week) Stew told me he had to change one of the tires...

Stew is off the rock for the week... will return this weekend. I will let him know...

well thanks for letting him know for me. i'd like to get it moved somewhere safe so it has no chance to get towed. i plan to sell it once i get back, so anyone who will be lookin for one later in the year, it needs a turbo, other than that its fine...but i will need to sell it before i leave the island in february. well thanks.

Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner. Checked few days ago and yep, still there. How long it will stay there without getting cited and towed...??? I'd volunteer space if I didn't have two wrecks at my house. Safest bet is power of attorney to get the vehicle moved.

I was hoping I could past the baton to someone else here as I'll be going on leave to the East coast in about 10 days and will be gone for about a month.

I know ArmyMP said he could run intervention...I mean so far it's still there, but I understand you still want it moved.

What about you Mr. Lee? Sir, are you somebody in high places, sir!

Lee, i consider any offer, its has some mods, and high miles, but a top end rebuild around 25,000 miles ago. it needs a turbo. problem with selling it while i am here is i had put some personal itesm(clothes, my tool set, etc...) and wouldn't know what to tell someone who bought it to do with my stuff til i get back(in november sometime).

cool, thanks for checkin up on it for me. i don't know of anyone who currently wants to buy it, no one recently has asked about it, and the people that have asked about it, i never get a f ollow up response from them, so i assume they decided they weren't interested or found something else. i should(key word, should) be back sometime towards the end of november. i still plan to sell it before i leave the island in February. thans for the offer to watch my stuff if it were to sell. i owe you one when i get back Stew.

well Stew, i haven't heard any news in about a month, which is good, means its still there, we should be back in 6 weeks-ish, maybe 8 weeks, but soon regardless, so i just hope it makes it 2 more months. well i will see you all soon.

ok Stew, i got your e-mail, i was a little worried, but i read your last post and you said all is well but some things i need to know(i'm quite curious to know what the update is), so i'm hoping that you mean you've located it aince they(whoever they are) moved it...(well i jhope anyways). the only thing i can say is the mp's should be conatcted and they may ber able to tell who towed it and/or where to. Per Tom Mahi - The car has been moved to the impound lot. He saw it there today. He said that he thinks the car will be kept there for no more than 120 days, then it will be auctioned.

yes, i will be back before then, i will be back soon, hopefully they let me get it out of the impound lot, sucks when you can't put a car anywhere, and have to leave for deployment, i made it so close to the end without it being towed, but my luck ran out. if anyone knows any of the mp's on shafter, maybe you could ask them details, how i can get the car back, or if they give you 120, or UP TO 120 days, but maybe shorter? or any details at all. well, thanks for the help all.

IIRC, it has to be kept for 120 days before it can be auctioned..

better than if it was on a public street.. 30 working days and it would be gone...
