Is Powell leaving the cabinet?

I just got a bit of a news story and may not have understood what Wolf Blitzer (sp) said, but I thought Powell was leaving.

You guys both missed the firestorm on C-span.... It seems Kerry's swift boat "band of brothers" are going to hang him out to dry for accusing them of committing "War Crimes" when he spoke to congress.

They aren't going to go away, either.

I doubt he'll leave, but wouldn't shed a tear if he did. cHe's probably the most liberal member of Bush's cabinet.

I am all for calling out kerry and his military record, but that website doesnt appear to have any substantial evidence, it talks about testimony from his entire chain of command but where is it in writing? Even the bullitin board is down.....

I would love to read what they (chain of command) has/d to say about it all.

The central point wasn't Kerry's war record, but when he testified before Congress he said the he had witnessed War Crimes, basically calling his fellow swift boat veterans war criminals. He has said this "may have been over the top", but he has never said that he lied when he said he witnessed his fellow sailors committing war crimes. They are saying that he did lie in his testimony to congress.

Some of these SAME veterans actually came to Kerry's defense in 1996 when a Boston Globe reporter accused Kerry of committing a war crime. (executing the VC that earned him his silver star)

Ive talked to a lot of peoeple who have been in war and they say getting three in four month's is almost impossible. Not that you can't get injured, but to actually get purple hearts is somthing else.
