is there anyway to test a fuel pump

Hi, Is there any way i can test the old fuel pump before installing the new one? The old pump was not primeing when the switch was on!

use the gray wire lead behind the alt. and A/C comp, there should be two connectors, 1 green-tach, 1 gray-fuel pump and jump out the gray one to a 12v source and the pump should run. If not, there you go.

the answer is of course but what prameter do you want to test---------if it runs may not mean so much---------what matters is its pressure vs volume--------but that takes a little more effort............RC
