After I drive my car for a while, mostly on the highway, it seems like the trans gets....well, "sticky". It feels as if it doesn't want to downshift when I accelerate unless I mash the gas. The throttle response is very abrupt, not the smooth transfer of power that I had when the car was new to me. The car has 140,000 miles on it, and everything other than the stuff in my sig. is origional. Is my trans going bye-bye? Or is it just something simple like a solenoid on the TCC or something? The trans doesn't slip, and there isn't alot of flare between shifts. Other than this "sticky" feeling, it works fine. I just bought a trans cooler from another board member, hopefully that will help. BTW- the fluid is red and clean, however I need to add about once a week because one of the hard lines is leaking. When I do add, its generally havoline or valvoline ATF, dexron 3. Any advice will be invaluable to me, as I would like to be able to save for a trans, not spend more money on go-fast goodies, if need be. This car is my daily driver.
