109 is 3.8L
if it has the hole in the front of the block for the turbo drain on the passenger front of the block into the valley area ..its a block from a turbo motor. no hole its an NA 109 motor
the NA (carb) 3.8 in 86-87 used the same 109 blocks but didnt get the turbo crankshaft with the pressed in fillet on the rod journals , heads are the same on the na just weaker valve springs ,front cover is the same but with a lighter oil bypass spring , and the balancer and flywheel are different than the turbo
