How much boost?
I would think so with a good 60ft.
Might want to go to a CAS V4 or somethink like it.

never get there with drag radials....get some stickies and you should be ok

GOOD FOR 11'S

LOOKING TO GET 19 LBS OF BOOST
WOULD LIKE TO RUN 11'S WITH STOCK INTERCOOLER
I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE DONE. AS FOR THE SLICKS
I AM LOOKING FOR A PAIR. I STILL HAVE THE STOCK 7IN RIMS.
I WOULD LIKE APAIR OF SKINNIES FOR THE FRONT.
WANT TO RUN THE CAR BEFORE I DO ANYMORE MODS.
BUY THE WAY ANYBODY KNOW IF WESTERN WHEELS IS STILL
IN BUISNESS. LOOKING FOR 8.5 LOOKALIKE TURBO T WHEELS
THANKS CHARLLOOTS

You can run 11's with stock intercooler, but putting a big neck on a stock intercooler makes it easier. At the boost level you need, about 2 psi is lost in the neck. A big neck stock intercooler will allow more boost for the same wastegate setting.

I would use a dump instead of a flowmaster exhaust, too.

Other than that, your goals are achievable with a tuning and a good track.

re big neck

thanks i looked into the neck i am going to order
a duttwiler. one more question do you think 28in slicks would
help or hurt my times.

28" tires can only help.

Even with ported heads and a cam, turbobuicks still make a ton of low end torque and still don't like to rev much over 5000 rpm.

You can also launch a little harder with 28" tires.

I think you should hit the 11's pretty easy with your combo, even with the drag radials. I've gone 11.97 on drag radials with a
TE60, 43lbers(009's)70mm/Hemco upper, and most importantly,it was a stock block, stock heads, stock cam and a stock converter through ATR's 3 inch duels, and stock rear. It is important that you do a big burn out and run around 14lbs. in the back tires. I was also running about 23lbs.of boost, good luck, and let us know how you did!
