Is this impact wrench strong enough?

I have not been impressed with my 18V dewalt's battery life or power. It's just a normal drill. I would look at the lithium-ion 18V Makita.

if it doesn't have the XRP logo on it, you are just getting a regular Black and Decker tool like you could get at Wal Mart only made out of yellow plastic..

the XRP's are built better and take more abuse- but they do cost a lot more.

i bought one of those at HomeDepot and LOVE IT.
For what it is a "Battery" powered impact gun It works great.
i usually over tighten my lug nuts and this gun still removed 8 out of 10. And when you have 3 inch studs even if you have to break them loose its still a huge help.

Do i trust it 100% NO, after i use the gun i still go over them with my wrench.

BTW HomeDepot had them on sale for $200.00 Gun, case, charger and 2 batteries.

I have the $300 Dewault 300 ft lb one, with a fresh charge it takes off most anything. Every now and then it won't take off a tight lug nut, but it's still worth it to save time for everything else.

TURBOPOWERED68 do you mean they have the dw059 for $200 with battery and charger? or the dc822? That seams really cheap.

Check out the new IR lith ion. Its up around 500 or 600 lbs. Its triple the price. I have the Matco version and its nuts. The battery lasts a long time also. The older one I had was weak with the nicad battery.

I already have an 18 volt set of tools. Have the batteries and chargers. This is why I am looking at dewalt. Don't wanna spend 4 5 hundred bucks to remove my lug nutz.$150 $200 is all I really wanna spend.

2 choices. Spend more and get a tool that will work or spend less and get a tool that you'll throw because it won't do the job. I spent less and now have a nice box with a cheap tool that didn't work good. At least it came with some impact sockets I can use.

I purchased TWO DW059K-2 from HomeDepot for $199.99 plus Tax.
the Homedepot regular price is $299.99 plus tax.
the part # on the carrying case IS DW059K-2
the part # on the gun IS DW059
the Part # on the Batteries is DC9096
the part # on the charger is DW9116

David. They must have had a good sale going.
Pronto. Have you used these wrenches before?
The reason I am considering it.....I have some dewalt 18v products and a charger. I can get just the wrench for little over $100 on ebay. I know the big $600 ones are good but don't have that kind of scratch. I had a cheap $20 impact wrench that plugs into your cigarette lighter. It worked fine. Figured a battery one would be awesome.
