Isn't it amazing the # of people with $6 an hour and 9sec street cars!

I felt sort of lazy today after finishing up the Snow Alky kit so I decided to have someone else change the oil today. Brought my own oil and filter of course.

It was sort of funny watching through the glass as the kids pointed and scratched their heads with looks on their faces

After they were done one asked me what it ran and I said "I wasn't sure" He then proclaimed he had a mustang that ran 9.30's, in street trim .

Them oil replenishment techs must make some big $$$.

The GN seems to bring out all the kids with the 9sec street cars

Compared to his friend's Hondas, it's a rocketship.

If they really bug you, get them to name the parts on their car. Get them to try and spill facts. Usually they will screw up somewhere along the line and you can make them look like a fool.
If all else fails, tell them youll run em for a couple hundred! That usually shuts em up pretty quick.

does that guy have a brother? i went to a junkyard and as soon as i walk thru the door, the guy behind the counter starts by " a buick gn huh, i know my cars when do you want to run i got a 10 sec mustang." i just laughed, it seems everybody always has a 10 sec car .

here in SoCal we have a local rice race spot. Before I got my GN me and my buddies went there to bug them. Anyways ALL the hondas were mid 12 sec. some were 11 and even 1 guy had a 9 sec honda. I was liek WOW thats really reall fast... So what have you done to your cars? they said its a secret! Then I said where did you race the car to get a 9 sec pass. They paused, I said Irwindale? And they said yeah yeah Irwindale.



Irwindale is a 1/8 mile track ... we left laughing

Actually I know a young guy that works at my uncle's salvage yard that has a 9 second Nova. He doesn't manage the place or anything - just a disassembler, drivers, odd-jobs etc.

Just beware.....

Sure....but it is far less expensive to make a 9-sec Nova than it is ANY imported car. I'd believe a guy like that waaayyyy before I'd believe a zitty kid that tells me his Honda is running 10-12s.

hey jim would your uncle happen to have any parts for a 94 jeep grand cherokee? i'm trying to find the wireing harness, and the drivers side fuel rail? sorry about side tracking, but i had to ask

I'll see if he has one. I just bought a Denali from him so I gotta call and check up on it tomorrow anyway. Which wiring harness do you need?
