Isopropyl???

What exactly is the difference between running Isopropyl alky ands denatured?? Can you run more boost without detonation with the Denatured?? Just wondered!

I could run about 5 degrees more timing and 4-5 psi more boost using 100% denatured over 70% isopropyl.
