Having a grandma ride Limited I don't get as many comments as you GN guys (which is actually kind of nice), but get a lot of looks. Last week I was in traffic and a couple guys on crotch rockets came up behind me. I could hear them talking and the one said to the other "Dude, that's a 3.8 turbo man".

Was leaving a car show one time and a truck passed me, this kook in the passenger side leaned halfway out of the truck and yelled "Are you Mexican?!" I was baffled and said "What?", so he repeats it "Are you Mexican?!". Still confused, I just said "Si, si, holmes" . I'm the palest whitey around, I'm not sure what he was talking about. I guess Limiteds are Chicano rides.

So I don't know where you guys are going but I drove the white car to town to day to shag parts for my daily driver. I had 2 honduh's turn around so they could pull through the parking lot to rev at me. At first i thought there were 3 but the third was the weed eaters across the road

getting admirers and the others

i get thumbs up, people taking pics and all kinds of stuff. I do have my CHL and hope i don't have to use it one day but it's part of it. regardless if you drive a GN or have a nice ring. sometimes you get attention you don't want, i managed a pawnshop for over 10 yrs and picking up my gun is like picking up my car keys in the morning. regardless it's nice to have people give you compliments on your car. i know i enjoy it, had some cheerleaders wash my car today at some fund rasier and one actually knew what it was. a few took pics but regardless it's been one of my most admired cars by people who enjoy them. as for those who hate gas guzzzlers or clunkers, screw them. their just hating because they don't have what we do.

and as for the young girls who admire tell them a ride for a ride and see what reaction you get. never know you may break in the back seat if it hasn't already been done.

It never fails...... I got two more props tonight!........

The first was while I was working in my tire/light repair shop today. My GN was parked next to the building all day. I had an oil change customer ask me after we serviced his car "who the Grand National belonged to". I told him that it was mine and we spent about 20 minutes shooting the sh*t about these cars. :) Great conversation....

Then after work, as I was accelerating up the on-ramp onto the highway on my way home after work, A black Avalanche was in the right lane that I was entering and then pulled into the left lane beside me and gave me a thumbs up as I pulled into the right lane.

I'm liking the attention so far!

John
