Wondering if anyone would know whats wrong with my floorjack. Its an aluminum craftsman and never gave me a hint of trouble in the 2 1/2 years iv owned it till today. I went to jack my car up and the initial 2-3 start pumps were fine, but once the car got higher and more weight on the jack it wouldnt jack till the handle was pretty much all the way down and it would give me about a 1/4" literally, of a pump at a time. Took me forever to get the car up this way as you can imagine. Anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong?

If it's the red and silver one, we go through them about every four months. I go to Sears, and make sure there is one on the shelf and tell someone there I have a jack that failed. Usually they just say bring it in and we'll replace it. Sometimes, they will tell you need a receipt. I say: "where on the box does it say that? It says to return it to any Sears store for replacement. I also tell them I have Craftsman wrenches I bought in the 70's. Think I have a receipt for those? In all my years buying tools from Sears I never had a problem returning broken Craftsman tools." Gets me a new jack every time.
Also, the warranty is only for a year, so don't mention the jack is older than that. It was a Christmas gift. If this applies to you or not- don't mention that it is used in a commercial shop or wear a car repair company uniform.
