You got some atrocities right here at home- look at the gas prices, i hope the tax rebate check that bush gave out covers the raise in prices- it doesnt for me.

Listen to the audio yourself. Is this the man YOU want to be the Commander-in-Chief?

I hate to break the news to you but war is where people die and property is ruined. H + I missions were to deny use of materials to the enemy. He's just a got his own problems, now trying to make some perverted point about them. He also put himself in for a bunch of medals to get an early ride home from Nam. He didn't even out in a full tour over there. Yes, he's a real piece of work, IMO, but for very different reasons then your's. You can tell how much his medals ment to him since he was so willing to toss them away. He perverted the system then, ands doing it again, IMO.

BTW, be on the recieving end of some automatic weapon, and mortars, and you get a very different idea about how war is played. Seems like alot of people have alot of opinions that aren't based on much personal info about war is really about, again, IMO. Not to mention seeing what happened to some of our dead. Dealing with death, is tough, and some people really take things to a new level about getting even. Lots of other naitons take advantage of us being nice guys, and deliberately make a point about that.

For the folks that are so agast about what are folks did, please look at what Saddam's, the Germans, the NVA, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, folks have been up to. No not all of what we did was right, but, we pale in comparision to what other nations do. Anyone read any of the Genevea Convention?, I don't recall seeing anything about 50 cals being against it. Again, he's just going for the warm-fuzzy voters. It will be interesting to see him in office if he wins. Has anyone else seen how often politicians flip flop when they actually get into office?.

War, brings out the worst in people. You can't be telling smart aleck jokes when in a gun fight. You can't see a friend die, and not have it affect you. You can not blow you temper, when you see a mutialated body. Seeing it on the news is NOTHING, not even within a million magnitudes, of what goes on.

Not to mention that there are alot of cowards around nowadays. Yep, lots of folks are just using smoke and mirrors to cover the fact they just don't have what it really takes to do battle. Yes, we started off doing a good thing, but, danged if politics, and the attitude of the majority of the Iraqiis didn't screw things up.

Hey TT/A1233

Don't forget a great deal of the cost of gas is taxes.

And with our friendly neighbors building companies, here, and our good natured corporate brothers, moving jobs abroad, guess where the profits go?. Instead of the money being circulated here, it's now going over seas. So we have to pay even higher taxes, and our infrastructure is just in sambles.

Remember Hondo, or some other foreign car, when you hit the next pothole. Not to mention that so many people are penny pinching, without looking at the long term effects of what they're doing. Yep, buy, that foreign car, truck, washer, drier, and then complain about taxes. It's almost to the stage of the hole has been duu too deep to even get out of. If you think things are bad now, just wait. It's probably goning to take a revolution to straighten things out, when folks really realise what greed has done. While some snicker about how we broke Russia's back in the arms race, the same things are happening in a non-military manner to us.

I won't vote for Kerry for reasons other than what he did in war. I simply don't care for his politics.

As for the sound byte...jeezum guys, when war starts, rules and laws go right out the window. Sucks, but it is life.

BTW....before someone asks, I'm active duty USN (hit 20 years next month), and have been in combat zones twice - thankfully, I've never been shot at (directly).

My definition of a combat zone is where everyone is carring full auto type weapons, and mortars are in close proximity. Every patrol unit has a radio for being able to call in Artillery, or an Air Strike. Often there is Armor handy. Firefights/engagements can last for weeks, and most folks carry at least 100 rounds of ammo on their person. No open fires, 24 listening posts. No relief or time outs, no personal days. No cold beverages, and maybe once a week some hot coffee. Sleeping fully clothed, and expected to wake and be instantly on. No bedding, just whatever you can scrap together. No radios, no phones. Mail taking 2-3 weeks. No gifts bigger then a cookie box. No comp time. Your vote may or not be counted. No electric lighting. No running water, or anything related to it, no showers, no John, dry shaving, to drink the water means treating it first, and the lovely taste of chemicals used to make it safe. Setting out bobby traps, and Claymores. And no real escape from the elements, usually no heat, never mind A/C. and great pay,

Yes, there are danger zones, and dangerous occupations, but true combat is rough, IMO.

No matter what your take is on combat, it's evident via Kerry's own voice he's an admitted WAR CRIMINAL and consciously violated the Geneva Conventions numerous times. He knowingly followed illegal orders.

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth sent a letter to Kerry admonishing him for his actions during and after the Vietnam war. One hundred and eighty nine of his fellow veterans, most of whom actually served side-by-side with Kerry state unequivocally he's not fit to be Commander-in-Chief. Every single one of Kerry's direct supervisors (except one due to death) signed the letter.

Is this the man you want to be our next President?

Swift Boat Veterans
Read the letter yourself.

Sadly, he's less of a douche than Bush and that's the only reason I'll be voting for him.

I don't want either of these morons in office.

Yeah,

Vote for bush...When he was kerry's age he was snorting coke and hiding in the national guard courtesy of his Daddy.
Unless you were in Nam, you have no clue or reason to pass judgement. Keep mouthing off TT/A1233, why dont you join the "Volunteer" army and go out and kill some terrorists! Or you could be a coward just like bushbaby!

No guts No glory!

Hmmm...were you in Nam? If not, why are you passing judgement - one way or the other? And if not, why do then have a "clue"? Because you have a different opinion?

You were a Navy Seal? Wow - I know lots of Seals and EOD (including my next-door neighbor). None of them talk or act like you. Not one.

Mouthing off? You're the typical lib who has to resort to personal attacks instead of debating issues. Shows your lack of maturity without a doubt.

How about rebutting the topic at had which is the fact John Kerry (your hero and mentor) ADMITTED to committing WAR ATROCITIES (murdering civilians). He's a scum bag of the highest order. Go ahead and trump up some sort of defense to his confessions. You need to listen to the audio first.

If you want to compare GWB's indescretions while in college (drugs/alcohol) to Kerry's indescresions (razing villages, murdering civilians) as being on the same level then you need even more psychiatric help then I already imagined.

It's evident Kerry loathes our Military as evident by his voting record. It's also evident you loathe our military by your reckless comments.

I think its not so much what he did in nam,but that he condemns others for it like he is somehow better than them.Shameful.To do one thing and then accuse others of the same "crime" makes him a true hypocrite IMHO.

There are "0" facts on what did or did not happen...
When those facts are made public it can be determined who was at fault. So far all I have read was that kerry came out and spoke about the attrocities in Nam. They feel betrayed because he spoke out...Lets see what the facts are and then point fingers. If he lied then he needs to be held accountable.
Again, unless you where there you have no room to judge!
Yes there were attrocities, you didnt know who your enemy was.
You could go into a village of friendlies and when you walked out , those friendlies(men, women and children) would open up on you with AK-47's. Many innocents died on both sides and many will die in Iraq.

"Mouthing off? You're the typical lib who has to resort to personal attacks instead of debating issues."

The mouthing off started with this thread....Show me FACTS!
If this was such a big issue to the "swift boat team" Why did they wait until now to pass judgement?
There is no issue here, only accussations...and typical conservative rhetoric. This crap is only going to get worse as the election gets closer. Both parties have thrown out any semblance of running a clean campaign. The name calling and disgusting accusations turn my stomach.

TT/A1233 will regurgitate any info real or imaginary to support his darling Bushbaby....If he was so confident in his president, this crap wouldnt be necessary.

Your weakness is showing!
