Got any new design updates for your alky kit? My kit is about 14 months old. Have you thought about starting a design "update" link on your website?

Thanks,
Walter

He hasnt since October of '03 per my instructions and mine are 6 and 3 weeks old.

On the GN really no changes. The latest one was the use of a new black nomex style hose from the tank to pump. And i've been experimenting with a new low level sending unit the last 1.5 months that seems to respond better than the older setup. But I like to test changes for months before making a rash decision to mess with something that currently is working :)

So after Dec '06 no changes. If your is 14 months old.. it falls on that upgrade line. Contact me off list for details.

I like KISS to... just part of hot-rodding the constant refinement..

I though I read something that you upgraded a light that indicates the pump was working or pressure is good….I don’t remember something like that.

How about a in-line filter from tank to pump, or should we screen-filter all meth before we put it into the tank too:confused: make sure their are no impurities too frig things up

speed shops sell a real nice funnel with a fine screen filter element. Use one of those and try to use methanol from a sealed container. We stay away from the pumps anymore because alot of places have it on a switch where the same dispenser dispenses regular gasoline fuels and methanol.

Problem is any filter with the slightest restriction will drop output pressure on the pump. Best policy.. use clean alcohol.. pour it through clean funnel.. and never will have an issue. Hundreds upon hundreds of users.. but a bad batch with dirt, junk, etc.. hard problem to handle.

Probably would have been worse if the pre-pump screen clogged.. as the system would develop pressure.. then have an issue developing volume.. just like a clogged fuel filter allows the engine to start..
