I have been out of commission for the last few weeks, but I am back and ready to go. I am still installing my trans. my current problem is that I cannot figure out the dip stick installation, i.e., i got it touching the trans but I cannot get it to go into the hole and line up with the top bolt. Please help and remember I am brand new at working on cars.

I found you can't get the dipstick to go in the trans if the trans is bolted to the motor and in place. I slide the dipstick tube in the trans while I am raising the trans up to the motor.

Is their an after market tube & dip stick that can be installed that does not require removing the trans.?

Not that I'm aware of but maybe someone else can chime in on that.
