Just another VIRUS ALERT!!

Just noticing that the viruses are coming in e-mail in WINZIP files now!!

I don't know WHICH viruses, but the e-mails are coming with innocent subject lines, some from familiar e-mail addresses, just like last month, only the attachments are ZIP files, and Norton can't search zipped files, and misses them completely! (Not sure about McAfee)

If you select in your virus scanner to check compressed files, it will check .ZIP files.

However, no virus scanner can check a password protected ZIP file.

But, even so, your virus checker should catch the virus when you unzip the contents and try to save them on the harddrive.

Its themultiple extensions that get most prople. Like....

itsavirus.zip.exe

and they just see the .zip part because their OS is set to "hide known extensions"
