I've been seeing them from time to time (now that I've started looking), and they are factory. I'm wondering how hard it would be to find one and adapt it to my car.

I had an 84 Regal limited that had them. They were very cool, especially back then. Come to think of it, my 84 was cool...4.1 L with quad on it. If I still had it, I'd donate the parts, but it's gone. I've used pieces of it on my TType and my GN and that was about all that was left when I got rid of it. Sorry.
