The Predator is pretty slick. I might've bought one, instead of a chip, if they had been out at the time. If the SVT rep really wants to be a stickler, he can see that the PCM was reflashed and inquire why. The Predator is certainly less obvious, but it isn't fool-proof.

Talked to a ford mechanic about the doing mods on the Cobra. He told me that with the computer thats in it, they will know any mods you make to the car and they will void the warranty if theres a problem with the car. I went through a bunch of scenarios with him and he had an answer for each one. He said they could easily tell if the car is messed with and depending on the dealerships stance could void the warranty.

I would argue that Ford, by its actions, invites folks to mod the Cobra. Sort of like putting up monkeybars in your backyard and expecting the neighborhood kids not to play on them, even if you erect fences and post signs. Believe me, you WILL pay for their broken arms. Case closed, Ford honors warranty...
