Well, took the 86T back to see if I could back up what I said on my other post. Since the last time I was there a couple of weeks ago I've added a dual fan kit from Ramchargers, a new high flow stock replacement radiatior from Nick Micale/ArizonaGN (thanks Nick!) and am now using distilled water with RMI. I left the Nittos on and used the same chip. Last time out my best run was a 13.0@104 with a 2.0 60' with 20 psi boost or so.

It was a little cooler out this time, but not "cool". Felt muggy out and had rained a little earlier in the day, temp was about 84 when I got to the track. Temps on the car didn't go above 178 on the way there and has been settling between 170-178 around town and idling. Much better now considering my car was seeing about 195 before and went over 210 at the track in 93 degree weather. This time the highest I got was 183 after my first run, when I didn't let it cool down much.

Well, to make it somewhat short, the first two runs were 13.0 and 12.9 with 2.0 60's. I was playing around with fuel pressure a little and launch technique, which wasn't working to well.

There was a long break after that and the temps came down into the mid 70's around 10:00pm or so. Car cooled down all the way and I finally got the run I've been waiting for:

12.59@106.5mph with a 1.83 60' on the Nittos :D

Nittos were at 14lbs with a decent burnout and I left at around 5lbs of boost. Car finally hooked and ran good in the cooler weather. I was just hoping for a 1.9x with the Nittos!

This is with a 100 Octane chip from Turbotweak (thanks Eric!) with only 23 degree timing in 1st and 2nd and 21 degree timing in 3rd. I had seen a little knock with the 21 degree timing in third so I added a few gallons of C16 to be safe. Probaby at 106 Octane or so. Didn't see any knock on knock gauge.

This was with 21lbs of boost on a stock ported turbo with a dutt neck stock intercooler on 30# stock replacement green stripe injectors. Car has a 3" downpipe with stock elbow through flowmasters(!). Does have a 3200 stall 9" Vigilante n/l convertor though.

Not too bad on a pretty stock setup with Nittos and a fairly conservative setup. Can't wait to see what will happen with 22-23lbs boost on my ET Streets.

Good job. The ET Streets by themselves shuld get you a low 12.
