Just had tranny rebuilt. help

Ok so I pulled my tranny and sent it to the shop to have it rebuilt. Well I got it back and have installed it. I put the key in and the car will not go into park to remove the key. Does my linkage need to be adjusted? also How many qts does a completely dry 2004r hold, I have not filled it yet. 87gn

I think the linkage should be adjusted , i think it should take between 9 and 13 qts to fill but check your stick after each one.

shouldnt your trans guy told you this? if you re putting a new converter you need to add 1 qt to it before installation

just had my trans built by vince janis he told me to put 5qts in after install ,then start car up and add 6 more qts for a total of 11, but good advice from above post to watch line on dip stick
