just went 110mph on outerlimits speedboat

it was so crazy you couldent even see any thing .the guys who own the boat only got it up to 110 because they blew one of the motors. the race is tomorrow in bristol RI any one going?

Damn, that must be really fast since you are on water. We bought a 87 searay 40 ft about 2 months ago. i just finish rebuild a 454 inboard motor. this thing should give me a about 400HP. i have different cam , ported aluminum heads. the cooling system is a 100% complete fresh water system. I have to start shopping around for a ALPHA I drive system. boats are great. i am hoping i see 50mph. 110mph is really fast. what boat where you in? must be a 60ft race with 2 or more engine. I do plan on installing a 6-71 or bigger blower to my motor later on.

I went to school in NC and used to ride jetskis near where they make Fountain Powerboats. A couple of times when we were out on the water they blasted past us. Pretty FAST stuff!!

My girlfriends dad has a 38 foot fountain with a pair of roots blown 502 chevies. We've been up to 97mph, he thinks he could do 100 if he was by himself. Its a real hoot!

the boat i went on was a 47 ft GTX model with twin 502s with 1100 hp each he said it could of gone over 130 mph but the motor belw a piece and my bosses boat currentley holding the world record for the fastest V bottom boat at 161.29 mph it has two 1650 hp each and he just made a new boat that weighs 200 lbs lighter and has twin 1900 each horse motors that boat should easily go 180 mph+ sick huh on thursday I am going to a race in clevend ohio and hopefully ride in my bosses boat and about foutain boats outerlimits ore munch better if you ever are fouturinte to ride in one you will be amazed it was awsome.

Friend of mine had a 21' Liberty tunnel hull with a pair of Merc 225's. Got to go 115 in it before the tie-bar (steering) broke and he rolled it. The boat was so docile and handled so well at speed, he was letting his 14 YO daughter run it flat out SOLO! Luckily he was alone when it rolled and he wasn't hurt too badly. I still think about that ride...

i live in riverside, Bruce lives in bristol. those boats absolutly rock! to bad those motors crap out so frequently, i guess that happens when you push over 1k hp.

yeah its too bad they crap out like that . the blowers are pushing out 17 psi of boost when they are made to handle 12 but they want every hp they can get. but they are cool

actually three are more reliable because they have to use the mecury crate motors because of limited space. they have about 550 hp each wich isent bad they will go between 105-111

and an average motor costs 35-40K
and the motors that blew up in the boat were 50k each and the motors in my bosses boat( the world record holder) costs 140K each and in his new boat 155K each that is crazy considering how many times they blow up

I am not to sure if they went to lake winnebago? because i just started there about a month ago. but i do know that we sell alot of boats around the country. how i landed the job was one day i got a phone call from my dads friends son who is a mechanic there and they needed a person to clean up the shop. outerlimits has been in bristol for over 6 years and i loved them so when i got the call i drove there as fast as i could and the boss said i can start the next day. and i been ther ever since. and the boss really likes me because i am dependible and motivated. so i cleand the shop for about a week or so and now i am doing all kinds of stuff. like put in interiors and work on motors. and depending on hoe good i do in clevlend the boss and the head mechnic will see if i can start working on the engines with them all the time witch should be awsome.

i just found out that my bosses new boat has a .950 lift cam it sound insane just for your info
