Been reading in this section a bit and I was wondering what are the differences in a BRF and BQ tranny? Thanks to all.

several things mostly minor --------the working internals seem to be the same ---------most of the BQ that i have seen have a slightly different gov-------usually two springs and slightly heavier secondary weight-------easy to correct------all have a smaller 2ond servo piston that is also easy to upgrade to a better aftermarket unit-------most have a smaller TV plunger that is easy to upgrade with an aftermarket unit-------1/2 shift valves are slightly different/dia and spring -------2/3 shift valves are slightly different/dia and spring-------accumulator valve is different design from 86/87 and TV mod downshift has a spring that is not in the 86/87--------even so with little effort and standard BRF upgrades to the valvebody they seem to perform identical as far as i can see................RC
