I tore my motor down yesterday and my 1 month old tensioner was busted up in pieces. Is there a more heavy duty one I can get and where would I get it. I had a chain guide installed on the other side if that helps keep the chain in place at all.

tension eeter

Search this site or a similarly named one for info on which aftermarket chains eat tensioners. I recall that one specific double roller was hard on tensioner and was recommended that tensioner be eliminated with that chain. Real downside is now ya got nasty crud from the demo'd tensioner in yer pan, p/u screen, etc..

only way I did away with that problem was go to a rollmaster double roller

make sure to get a rollmaster tho they have billet gears others are cast

Welp, fwiw, i use a Speed Pro or sealed power set, I got through a local parts store,, anyway, it doesn't require a tensioner as the chain is "tight" on both sides. It's a stock style heavy duty chain and has worked fine for several years...
I'm not a big fan of roller chains for turbo regals as the rollers chains will stretch.... I wouldn't run a roller chain that has "slop" on the "tensioner side"
