Has 3.5 MAF,replaced with new one ...no change.Checked all connections and cant find problem.Reset pcm and after car runs 30 secs it resets codes 34 and 42. Any help?

Ive been over that site and racked my brain and still havent figured it out. The switches in the translator box are set correctly also. Thoughts of maybe a bad computer but that would be just a shot in the dark.

Car was running fine until crank sensor quit and had to be replaced. Only thing I konow about the translator is it has a gray and white wire connected that runs to ign module. Set all knobs to 0 and dip switches are correct. Exactly where they were before crank sensor problem.

Did you check for power and ground at the translator? Sounds like you lost one.

Trust me on this the crank sensor plays a big part that can set those codes, make sure 100% crank sensor is set with 2 pieces of plastic on each side of the blades front and backside on the crank pulley passing thru the crank sensor were on center with each other (I used old library card). i chased a problem like this for a long time, try it wont cost much money or time if you can do it.

Really stumped now, replaced crank sensor again, its adjusted right. Swapped coil, module and computer from my car and still no change.Pulled plugs and the only one that looked like it was firing correctly was # 2,installed new NGK's. All others were really rich. Replaced 3.5 MAF with new one, still no change. One thing I noticed during the swap was that where the ignition module bracket bolts to intake and bracket on back of module was stripped, wont tighten up,gotta retap or use longer bolt. Will this cause the problem? Will set code 34 & 42 after running only 30 secs or so.

Ignition bracket bolt is not a big deal. Surly not the cause of the condition.

Do you have a volt meter? We need to verify power and ground at the factory maf plug. Also post your translator settings.

Have a voltmeter....got all the knobs set on 0. Dip switches are set according to back of cover. None of that was touched prior to problem beginning. He put a crank sensor on and then these problems began. He said check engine light was on prior to crank sensor replacement but have no idea why.

If it was all working before it has to be something simple. Verify power and ground at the factory maf plug. Then verify power is getting through the translator. Plug it in and test for power at the ls1 plug.

Also verify the plugs on the translator are plugged in the right way. The a plug going to the ls1 maf will plug in backwards. Make sure thats right.

Dip switches should be on on on off (I believe).

Update....took translator and all connectors off and installed my stock maf and air filter. No more code 34 and car runs great!!! Still has code 42 for some reason!!!!!!! Installed my spark module, pcm and chip....still have code 42!!!!!!!! Dont know why??? Do the translators go bad?? Tried a new 3.5 in maf sensor before installing stocker so I know its not the 3.5 sensor that was the problem
