Not a Buick so posting in the lounge! Got stock 20's on my Dodge Hemi Ram and whenever I go thru deep snow it builds up in the back of the wheels. Gets caked in there pretty good. No biggie when driving in a storm as you aren't going to fast but get on the highway and the whole truck starts shaking since the wheels are now so out of balance. Maybe I should spray PAM or WD40 on the insides? Been a pain in the ass this winter.

Hope the WD40 doesn't work its way to your tires! My WRX had that happen a couple times, not from doing lots of rally inspired donuts, nah no way it was ever because of sliding sidways into a drift in a deserted parking lot. I'd just stop and push the snow out with my hands (gloves on).

I usually go to the self service car wash. Sometimes. I take a broomstick and push out the ice/snow. Until it melts, it can be a real pain.

I am smart enough to do that.:) Just wondering if there is something to use that would keep it from sticking so it will fall off. Depending on the temps, it can harden like a rock to the back of these wheels. They are 20 x 9's with a lot of backspacing.

Maybe try some spray deicer that would get spendy though.
I agree with the wd40 deal causing splippage by migrating on the tread and would be concerned with it getting into the bead and breaking down the rubber and/or causing the bead to slip on the rim.

Maybe I will get them teflon coated.:D And this thing will kick butt over a Chevy any day!

NOT! I have beat Many HEMI rams with my LS powered Tahoe and tow my car and whole booth set up with no problems at all.. HEMI rams are over rated IMO....

Just have to chime in on that one! LOL

it's snow.. it will melt eventually.
Yes. But in areas where temps don't get above freezing for weeks on end or longer, this poses a problem.

Mark, if you find a coating that works, let me know. I hated having to stop in at a car wash and rinse out that crap on my Jeep.

Exactly. Aside from just the general discomfort of the wheels being out of balance, think about what those vibrations are doing to the axle bearings and tires.

I'd say maybe a dry silicone spray perhaps?

I have used some cooking spray on my plastic snow shovel with moderate success, still builds up but pops off with a little tap or kick. Might work on aluminum, try it.

I spray white lithium grease of the blades of my snow blower and no snow sticks

I think even my Stock 03 Dually with an added 2000 #'s walks the Ram :D

I haven't had that issue this year.. but I have in the past used silicone spray !! Not all over just where it builds up
