What color wires on the ECM are for the Fuel Pump?

I want to install a kill switch and I want to tie it in there.

Thanks

It is a tan wire that feeds it power and you can tie into it under the door sillplate where it runs to the back.

I don't think it will work there as long as you have a hot wire kit, will it?

I hope it will. That will be a lot easier.

kill

Kill the hot wire to the inj. Killing the pump will not kill the eng. instantly, if that is what you are looking to do.

What do you mean kill the hot wire to the engine? Do you mean fuel?

If I put in a kill switch on the tan wire going to the trunk, the hot wire kit will still supply the voltage, and vice versa if I install it on the hot wire power.

Is there any other way to do this? There has to be!

The Racetronix kit needs the OEM power line from the ECM to 'excite' the Hot-wire/P-n-P kit.

If you kill the power to THAT wire, the Fuel Pump WILL NOT turn on, even if you have a Hot-Wire kit, as long as it is the same design as the Racetronix kit.

the hotwire kits I've seen use the stock wiring as a trigger for the relay on the larger gauge hotwire. without power to the stock wire, no fuel pump.

Instead of breaking a hot wire, why not put your kill switch on the ground circuit of the fp relay. It will definitely shut the system down.

Don't forget the oil pressure sender switch which powers the pump as well...

If the engine is cranked long enough for the oil pressure to build the oil pressure switch will power up the fuel pump.
