Actually do a search of completed auctions for GN's. There are a few that go below $9-10K. The ones selling for more are either low mileage or the bidders "didn't have the money". I have seen a few guys on here have to re-list their cars due to non-paying bidders. I check daily to get a pulse on the market as I want to replace my car that was stolen.

If I remember right, this was a gray one. The interior looked like it had a bit of wear showing it had more mileage than they claimed. The wear, being a T and not a GN as well as possibly lieing about the mileage probably scared a few people away, hence the low price.

It looked like a good driver or project though.

I remember that car. If you read the entire Novel of a description he indicates that the car probably has 126K. That plus the re-paint. I had it in my watch list to possibly bid and my wife noticed the miles before I did. Plus it was ugly IMO.

As far as deadbeat bidders go. As another buyer that is really starting to tick me off. Last week I was out bid on the last second for a car. (no reserve auction) I sent a messgage to the seller that if the deal fell through and they relisted the car to notify me. 3 days later the guy sends me a message that the winner could not come up with the $$ for almost two months. By this time I was bidding on another car. Same deal, no reserve auction and lost on the last second. A day later the seller sends a message through e-bay that I can have the car if I want it since the buyer backed out. Is it just a coincedence that two auctions ended this way or is there some "schill" bidding taking place? Bottom line if you win. PAY!

If it is an Ebay auction I would pay below what I might if I could actually see and touch the car. Too many unknowns. Otherwise I can find "market value" cars near me.
Good luck on your search.
btw, did anyone else see the El Camino with GN drivetrain and T Type interior? That looked nice. It didn't meet reserve at $8k
