Are there any kind of propane tanks that look more like a NOS bottle and less like a BBQ grill tank? I HATE the idea of having a BBQ tank in the back of my TTA. I have a NOS bottle back there and think a propane tank that looked like a NOS bottle would actually make it look cooler instead of making it look bad.

If no one knows of a NOS style bottle, then does any one know if you could have a NOS bottle filled with propane?

I really want to do some messing around with propane but it will take alot curiosity to get over the look of a BBQ tank.

TIA: Jason

Paint the BBQ tank blue and put some stickers on it. Or better yet have it chromed.:D

There are 2 different types of propane tanks, vapor and liquid. All the BBQ tanks are vapor and are almost all a verticle cylinder except a few old horizontal ones that are way outdated that nobody will touch with a 50ft pole. The liquid ones are the ones that would look more like a NO2 bottle.

As far as anybody seeing mine, it is in the spare tire well and cant be seen without removing the cover. When people that have no clue do see it, I simply tell them it is for BBQing horse meat:D

My battery and a shurflo pump are located in the spare tire well :( .

p.s: where do you find liquid propane tanks?

Here

You probably dont want to inject liquid propane since it will freeze any solenoid you run it through unless it is regulated first and will freeze the regulator if it isn't heated.

You can always put it on the drivers side, I was going to but it was just easier to put it on the pass side due to removing the cover. It could still be done though.

Just to let you know, it is a 1 gallon (5 pound) tank, not the 5 gallon (25 pound) tank you use for your BBQ.
