Im thinking it might be an injector went south.I pulled the alky chip and threw in my TT street chip and went out for a drive. The chip always worked well for me but now when I put it in at wot 18lbs boost and 110 octane the wideband when to 12.9 and the 02's were 720 and it started picking up knock with good fuel pressure.
So without me pumping a bunch of extra alky it seems like it is running super lean.Maybe the alky was masking it?
So would this be a good indication of a bad injector?Maybe its what caused my gasket to blow in the first place?the injectors are prob pretty old.they are the lucus 009 42ish pounders.

Send them down to Chuck Leeper. I've read nothing but good things about him so if it's the injectors he can get you straightened out.

Street chip is only designed for 16-17 psi boost worth of fuel
Running 18 psi it would be lean unless you cranked up the fuel pressure
So drop boost to 16 psi using your street chip and see if you can get a clean pass out of it
You need to slam down the boost and get it to run properly before increasing the boost
Your working backwards starting high and going low

messed with it all day yesterday.Found if I get it up to like 60 and roll into the gas lightly without letting it downshift I get no knock at all for as long as I stay in it.Also noticed my powerlogger was picking up knock counts just driving normal so I jacked the car up and found the exhaust is hitting the new h+r sway bar bracket, and also there is a good clunk sound when shifting from park to drive....maybe u-joints or motormounts.Downpipe also had some dings at the upper control arm.Guess I will be replacing all my mounts this winter!!!!
