knock gauge

I've already got a scanmaster to watch knock. Is it worth it to get the knock gauge, or is it more or less a decoration if I've already got scanmaster?

Unless you need to monitor something other than knock w/ the SM and still want to know what knock is doing, your good to go. Plus as you already know SM displays knock retard, the gauge is displaying filtered counts from the sensor so not actual degrees of retard.

By way of how the knock sensor is wired you will get the signal quicker with the knock sensor than with the scanmaster. Getting out of it a sec and a 1/2 quicker might save a guy, never know..
