Aloha, my name's Mike, I'm new to Buicks, and I too am isolated on an island. Buicks are pretty rare here and I need some advice on parts. My wife will be in Hawaii (Honolulu) next month, and I'm going to give her a shopping list of sorts.
It's a '70 Estate, (non turbo, sorry) and I need advice on headers. Please browse my thread on V8BUICK so I don't have to type it all again!

Mahalo in advance,
Mike

Distributor cap and Rotor should be easy to find at a NAPA or Carquest store... you will need to know if the points are the unitized version or not (points and condenser stuck together...

The idea of an HEI system is probably a better choice however...

Look for headers from the appropriate full size vehicle of that era (I believe someone mentioned LeSabre, or possibly Wildcat?

Thank you very much. It's a long way to come and pick up the wrong gear. Good excuse to return though...

I dont think anyone will have the headers for that in stock, however... but I have been known to be wrong...

Thats a nice set of wheels you got there...

Rob, I have a set of headers that will fit a BBB in a '68-'72 Buick GS and who knows what other chassis. I tried sticking it in an '81 Regal but had interference from the diagonal TH-350 crossmember. Sorry! Not for sale. stew

Thanks, HI85WH1, gets a few comments around here, more for being a hearse, but there's a few Buick enthusiasts coming out of the woodwork.
Do you mean no one in Hawaii will have them in stock? When I ordered the F-Series rubbers for my '79, they came to Honolulu Ford from San Francisco in 3 days at minimal cost. I'm thinking if the missus orders in the first couple of days, they can be there before her departure.

The only place I can think of that MAY have them would be Rons performance... but for "unusual" applications (anything other than chevy/ford) they may not stock. OE stuff comes pretty fast via the dealer networks, with minimal, if any shipping costs... aftermarket stuff may be better off sent straight to you via summit/jegs, etc...

I seriously doubt checkers has BBB headers in stock.
