Knocking

I have and 85 all stock and there knocking. It doesnt start until the car starts warming up thats when it begins. but its not 4rm the engine it sound like its coming 4rm the turbo. I also want to know whats some upgrades i should start off with?

Don't get ahead of yourself.
You should not upgrade untill you get the knock figured out, repaired and the car running "good" with what you have now.(unless updates are required of course )
Oh almost forgot ............ Your best friends (in order) are;
1 - A scantool and some cash
2 - The search function
3 - A local experienced member
4 - This board.

I had a knock in my 85 several years ago and it sounded like it was the Turbo. The bolts in the Flex Plate were loose. This was found during a transmission rebuild.:frown:

Since you're a newby 1st, go to your state section at the bottom of the main forum page and say hello and see if someone is near you that can help. 2nd, go to your user controls and add your location. 3rd, get a scantool and get it running right before you even THINK about upgrades. These cars can be finicy and if you don't know what your doing you can ruin the engine. Welcome aboard.

Ok, new order ;
1. Allocate some spending cash.
2. Find a local member who has GOOD knowledge, and a scantool.
3. Buy the member lots of beers and a few dinners for their knowledge.
4. Ask them to help fix the car.
5. Until it’s running right, and you fix the knock, there is no need to upgrade.
6. Get back to the board.
7. Use the search function and read everything you can about these cars.
8. Allocate a LOT more cash and upgrade yourself, or have someone do it for you.
