just thinkin outload so read this and reply if i mess up somwhere.
Ok ive got my car runnin very well as a back and forth to work kinda ride. its got descent speed but no pick up from the get go. kinda lags a little at first then between 2-3 theres a hesitation BUT only when i got it floored from a stop. heres what i THINK it might be and im fairly new to these cars mechanically. Goin wit what i know i think that as i floor it there is a leak somwhere in the turbo u/d pipes and as it goes faster the fuel is too rich due to the air leak (?) when i got the car i had it state Insp. and midas said that the pass. header was warped. they put a new gasket or 2 on it and called it OK it passed. i had the up pipe off and tried to seal the mating flange from header to pipe with permatex copper and it did seem like the pipe didnt wanna mate up on either end very good. Ive asked if there was a gasket and all i find is to use the copper goop but if the pipe and flange dont sit perfect what good that gonna do. i cant afford new headers and pipes right now **** ive only had the car 2 months. but in theory: if the turbo isnt forceing enough air but the fuel press is there that wouldnt be good. when i drive the car normal is runs ohhh so nice its when i floor it i notice the lag. any suggestions. i wish you could drive this thing it s friggin hard to explain. there is only the lag when i floor it and betwwen 2-3 shift thats it after that it goes pretty good. I ve changed spark plugs and wires, fuel filter, oil/filter and waitin on new O2, TPS is at .43 and 4.6. Also the DP looks off a little at the mateing surface off the wastegate and the gasket does look pretty bad how do i go about taking off the DP easily. HELP IS APPRECIATED!
