I found it funny

I wish him good luck,
but come on......
it was listed before and didn't sell,
I wonder why?

You see this on almost every high $$$ car or part. IMO, It seems they place unrealistic high reserves on cars to see what the bids will go up to and they really have no intention of selling unless some middle east oil sheik comes along with a huge bid.

That is John Chamberlains I believe. His screen name is JKC. Nice car, nice description, nice other GS, and even nicer house.

Why is he hiding the VIN number if it has so much bearing on the value of the car?

That is indeed John's car. I recognize the brown 70 GS sitting in front of it.

I just noticed. Look at his "garage". Looks dang nice. My garage couldnt be like that because the grout on the tile would be colored "oil"

But that car is SOOOO nice. What a ride. That, and a 99 regal gs would be the only cars i would ever need. ever.

well the Shelby club has all the Ford Vin's that are under the Shelby American Vin plate with thier # .. that helps keeping out the "air" cars ... I wouldn't give ya the VIN # eithier

nice car but it sounds a little fishy. i agree with the not disclosing the vin number, i hate to accuse but it seems like he may be hiding something. also the way i see it, if the numbers don't match its not a numbers matching car. even if thats how it came from the factory that way which yes does make it more rare but prove thats how it came. it can't be proven and i would have a hard time paying all the money for a car that is most likely right. if i'm spending over $145k the details of the car better be absolutely perfect.

also i thought all gsx's were stage 1 cars, am i mistaken?

still a nice car and i don't mean to say its not, but i couldn't see spending that kind of money for a car that is not "right" even if it is the factory's fault

In '70 you could get a 455 or the 455 Stage 1. In '71 and '72 you could get the Stage 1, a standard 455 or even the small block 350 in a GSX.
