Awesome..U hold my dream job.. Good Luck..

BTW was this the guy being helped by the Butler seats owner a couple of races ago ?

Thanks Louie. The crew thing isn't my real job, just part time.
The work is hard and the hours are long but it's all worth it!

Butler seats owner? Not sure what you mean.

I was watching NHRA today a couple of races ago. The owner of Butler racing seats (roundy round stuff) was helping a funny car team , i thought it was yours...I may be wrong..

Again good luck. part time or not..its gotta be awesome.

Some cool pics for you Louie.

I'm the guy with the shaved head.

We only had one clean qualifying pass but it got us in the show. Bob was jumping up and down while exchanging hi fives and hugs with the team, it was a really great to see him so happy!

The car kept pushing head gaskets out on all the other passes including first round on Sunday. It acts like a cutting torch when that happens and burns big holes in the heads and block. He had to use the fire bottles on one pass.

We'll get it figured out though, and try again at Indy.

Topfuel,
Thanks for the pics . They are awesome. Looks like you had a grat time.

I didnt get t see the car run. Unfortunately as usual, ESPN2 doesnt care much for NHRA racing and allowed the dang Tennis match to cut in the racing time. They had to highlight most of the show. :(

Yeah I hate when that happens, the quickest and fastest cars on the planet get snubbed in favor of tennis or japanese little league baseball.

It costs somewhere in the area of $25-35k per race to compete in the nitro classes, that's if you don't hurt too many parts. These cars are the biggest money pits I've ever seen in my life, it blows my mind. We got $5k for qualifying but it probably cost $20k to get there.

The TV coverage doesn't reflect that.

My brother-in law was watching and said they were doing an interview while we were at the starting line, they only showed a quick glimpse of the car.
He got mad and turned off the TV.
