I have noticed that Lee Thompson has a set Weld Rodlite rims on his car would anyone know the size and back spacing he runs. If anyone else uses this rim please help me out on your combinations.
I have been thinking about getting a set but aren't really sure on back spacing and tire size.

I would like to run (front) 215/65/15 15x7
(rear) 275/50/15 15x8 but I want know rubbing at all of course I'd like to stay as close to the stock height as possible.

size

15x6 in front with a 215-75-15 tire--3.5 back spacing
15x8 rear with a 275-60-15 tire--4.5 back spacing. With a notched frame.
The rear will require spacers to keep it off the frame, unless notched.
I like the taller tire look.

If you go with a 4" bs on the rear, you can get by with a fender lip trim. Centerline makes wheels with 4" bs and they tuck the 28" tire under the car nicely. Other than the rear backspacing, this is the same combo I run on my cars.

Think I might try using a 245/60/15 on the back.

I guess 3.5 bs would work.

Thanks for the quick replies.

backspacing

I do believe the more common Weld wheels only come in 1/2 in. backspacing difference (3.5-4.5 in ) but you are right in that 4 in. would be better. 3.5 in. may or may not get the tire inside the fender, maybe someone else would know.
