Sad but he lived a long life. I saw a special on him a few months back and he could still play like crazy. He really had a major role in rocks evolution. RIP:(
 
My tribute to him from 1985 when I built this copy. RIP Les Paul. :(

I played a 58 les paul jr double cutaway, i liked the neck which was way more slender then reg les paul which to me always felt like i was wrapping my hand around a 2x4, kinda like a strat vs a telecaster.

I just got used to the ole Jimi thumb wrap and them fat necks always made it uncomfortable
