Hi. Newbie to the site. I am trying to restore a 1972 Triumph Stag with a 1978 Buick v6 that someone thankfully donated along the way. Its a great little engine, but...not being one to leave well enough alone I though it needed a little help. I have a Offenhauser 167DP en route to go with the Edelbrock 600cfm I picked up on Craigslist.
I realize now that I might have jumped the gun. The 1979+ heads seem to open up a huge amount of options and the Edelbrock intake is less$$ than the used Offy I just bought!
Heres the deal: Money is kinda tight. I dont have the ability to do any modifications myself, and have never cracked the inside of an engine....BUT I'm willing to do anything once!
OPINIONS PLEASE:
Do I scrap the "shorty" heads and the new Offy, and buy some taller heads and an Edelbrock?? Which heads?? Do they Bolt on without a fuss?
Any and all advice appreciated.
