John has talked me out of buying stuff and probally saved me 100's...he Pm'd me about places to eat in Cancun etc...so donating a few $$ is like me helping out a friend...some who has helped me in the past and finds time to talk....hope you still make it to Columbus...you know where I will be...

I think thats Hilarious! I read that long thread about headers made in China for like $1. Anyway, I would need waaaay more info on John's case before I sent him money. Although he did take back my knock sensor and give me a new one at BG last June. Specifically, here is what I would like to know. Was he first warned by the EPA that if he didn't cease and desist selling those things, he could be subjected to fines? I can't believe the EPA just showed up one day and said "hey John-here is your fine for $76,000". Also, can he protest it and maybe get it reduced? How come we haven't heard from John on this? I would be more inclined to send $ after we get the scoop from him-no matter how one sided it is.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to donate to the cause. I did donate in a way when the other day I placed an order with Caspers for some goodies

I have a feeling the EPA will be looking close at all there products & how there used. We as a community may want to get our hands on there Buick items while there available....... maybe send them to China for copying?

Regardless if enough money is collected to pay the fine entirely or barely enough is collected to make a dent our show of support may affect whether or not Casper's Electronics decides to close thier doors after something like this. Even if they HAVE to close shop John deserves our support.

I didn't want to be the one In Charge of this but I wasn't going to let it NOT happen. IMO it would be awesome for everybody to find something they need to buy from him and do it. I posted that in another thread. I made a $155 order that I'd been procrastinating on for quite some time. Do something other than talk about it. MAKE him feel your support.

Thats some read thanks for posting John! The products you sell are amazing. My hat is always off to you and your team. I was just having a conversation with a few other turbo Buick friends at a car show the other day. We were talking about how awesome it is the engineering that goes into the products you sell and design. Without your products many turbo Buick owners would be in the dark. One thing is for sure using your products are always a pleasure and makes working on these cars so much nicer. Keep up the good work and I hope this mess all comes out in your favor without to much more loss. Keep us up to date on this issue and let us know when and if you need our support for anything!

Wow, I wonder if they will make the Doctor that prescribed Benoit steroids buy them all back or car companies that have fire hazards like Ford trucks did etc buy those vehicles back that KILL people.

The ironic part is that Illinois just stopped testing OBD1 vehicles starting this year. I guess it's ok to let millions of cars no longer test for emissions but 44k cars is way to much ??

I agree that this is no joke & needs to be taken seriously! Its bigger than just Caspers & possibly shutting down one of our Buick communities Great Vendors! They are gonna stop fast cars, performance mods & slowly track cars! Bit by bit they will do it so I believe this is only the beginning!
