Pardon me if this is a stupid question, but when I mount my 3 bar map for the t-link boost harness does it have to be mounted straight up and down or can I just "secure" it with cable ties in the most convenient place i can find? I don't want to put any more holes than I have to in my car. Also I was informed that the new superseded part number map sensor has a different wiring design and needs a different plug. So do I have to modify the boost harness for that or not? Thanks in advance.

Nope, it can be mounted however you want. I usually just use a little piece of velcro on the top of the fender liner.

As far as the wiring being different ... I haven't seen any difference in the ones we have sold that have a new part number.

They seem to work just fine on the test bench ... I'd like to know if that's really the case or if it's a case of mixed up facts?

Thanks. I now have another question: how long should it take to calibrate the setup for the first time? I tried it once but after a minute or so I cancelled because I was getting a low battery and wanted to make a run yet. I didn't know if it just took a couple seconds normally or not.

I have yet another really dumb question: I want to transfer my T-link files to my home computer but the laptop has no floppy drive and the cd drive isn't recordable. Can I link the computers together with a USB or serial cable and transfer data that way or do I have to get a cd burner or something? As you can tell, I'm not really computer smart.

Thanks in advance.

It should only take a couple of seconds, if you are hooked up to the car properly.

The "different wiring" seems to be misinformation regarding the way it's used in the Turbo Regals.

It works fine with the boost harness.

Thanks. I'll tinker with it this weekend some more and see if I can get it to calibrate correctly. So how do I get the files to my home computer without a recordable disk drive?

I'll try it but man that's gonna take awhile to do with dail-up!!

My friend owns the laptop and I can use his internet connection.

Hope it works, and thanks again!
