I just put a cam in last week, the preload i measured was .020. I know 30-35 is ideal , but will it make that much of a difference? Should i buy a set that are proper lenth.
thanks,
Mike
Cann't see where 0.020 would be a problem. If I was doing this, the engine would be started and run in first. Then determine if there is lifter noise. A little is not bad. Too tight is not good!
This is about where we set preload on the strip motors with no ill effects.
