Light Monitor System

These pictures are of the corner monitors on my 1981 Buick Regal Sport Coupe Turbo Limited.

It is my understanding that this is a fairly rare option, and while I have found a brief passage in the service manual, I can't find any more information on these.

I believe it is a later variant of the '60's and '70's Vigilite exterior light monitoring system. Both front corners have them, operating on fiber optic. One side has been cut, unfortunately, and I would like to repair it faithfully to its design.

Can anyone shed some light on what I might need to fix this? Or any information on this system?

Update: I have acquired some old sales brochures and was fortunate enough to find an original pricing guide. In the pricing guide and brochures, the light monitor is mentioned, offering an RPO code: U46.

Not sure how helpful this is to anyone, but wanted to share my findings.
